Natural resins and synthetic resins points. Natural resin is defined by the nature of the animal and plant exudates resulting amorphous organic materials, such as rosin, amber and shellac. Synthetic resin refers to a resin product obtained by chemical synthesis of simple organic compounds, or some natural products obtained by chemical reaction, such as phenol resin, polyvinyl chloride resin, wherein the synthetic resin is a main component of plastics.
